At Lok Bhawan in Lucknow, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, has introduced the ambitious scheme known as UP Kaushal Satrang Yojana to increase the employment opportunities for unemployed youth residing in the state. Through this scheme, skill training, as well as employment opportunities, will be made available to the youth of UP by the state government.
The UP Kaushal Satrang Scheme revolves primarily around the development of skills. This Yojana covers 20 schemes of 12 departments. Unemployment remains a huge problem in India; educated youth is struggling to attain a job due to the lack of job opportunities available in the market. However, the Indian government is continuously striving to bring a reduction in the unemployment rate and employ youth, and thus, has commenced several schemes concerning the same.
By bringing this scheme, the UP government has taken the much-needed decision to eradicate unemployment by skill development of around 2.37 lakh youth. Besides this, a Mega Job Fair will be organized via the District Employment Offices, youths from diverse backgrounds will be attending this fair and youth of villages as well as cities can participate in the Skill Development Scheme. As in almost every household, unemployed individual or people exist; UP Kaushal Satrang Yojana’s introduction is a blessing in disguise. We can expect improvement in the state’s overall employment rate after the proper implementation of the UP Kaushal Satrang Yojana.
There are seven components of UP Kaushal Satrang Yojana. These components would play a valuable role in increasing the job opportunities for the youth in Uttar Pradesh.

Through this scheme, the state government is all set to construct a committee at the district level. The district magistrate will be the supreme authority, and he will be monitoring the actions taking place under this scheme. Through the constituted committee, a healthy connection will be established between the youths of Uttar Pradesh, and the registration process will take place.
Under this scheme, the government will grant the honorarium of Rs. 2500 to the youth of the state for making them proceed ahead for the apprenticeship in any industry, and the unemployed ones will be able to receive proper training. The concerned authority will bear the remaining amount.
Self-employment schemes run by numerous departments will be brought together under the same roof via the CM Youth Hub Scheme. More than 30000 start-up units will be commenced through the efforts of trained youth under the CM Youth Hub Scheme, for which a budget of around Rs. 1200 crore has been reserved.
Through this scheme, people engaged in traditional self-employment will be receiving certificates after skill mapping. Under this Yojana, people will be able to upgrade their working skills.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed with three principal placement agencies to grant employment opportunities to the youths after imparting proper and efficient training.
At the Tehsil level, Kaushal Pakhwara will be organized in order to make skill development schemes reach the youth.
An agreement has been signed with IIM Lucknow and IIT Kanpur for transmitting skill development training to the youth. Additionally, the Health Department will lend training to Arogya Mitra as well as cow farmers that belong to the Animal Husbandry Department.
