
Union MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari proclaimed himself as the “Brand Ambassador” of the first eco-friendly cow dung paint of India, Khadi Prakritik paint. In a press conference, while making an announcement regarding India’s first cow dung paint, he said he would be the official brand ambassador of Indian khadi Prakritik paint. Furthermore, he added that he would be encouraging the young entrepreneurs to proceed ahead for the business of cow dung paint manufacturing. The plan is to promote this new initiative across the nation.
Another noteworthy feature about Khadi-based paint is that it is India’s first and only paint manufactured by using dung. Sounds interesting, isn’t it? Well, we believe that it’s a revolutionary move in the direction of making India self-reliant. While virtually inaugurating the new automated manufacturing unit of India’s first environment-friendly paint in Jaipur, Union MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari Ji emphasized the empowerment of the rural & agro-based economy of the nation with the rising number of manufacturing units. According to Union MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari Ji, Khadi Prakritik Paint has tremendous potential of formulating sustainable development for the welfare of the disadvantaged ones who are battling against poverty every day, and the target must revolve around establishing a paint manufacturing unit in each and every village. In addition to this, he mentioned that inaugurating this manufacturing unit is more satisfying and pleasing in comparison with inaugurating infrastructure projects of about lakhs of crores of rupees.
After virtually inaugurating the model manufacturing plant, Union MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari is striving to establish 50 manufacturing plants for producing khadi Prakritik plant, a non-toxic, environment-friendly paint from pure dung produced by cows. At the Jaipur training centre, about 30 students have already undergone training, and a training program for another batch is actively running. The target is to establish 50 plants in Vidarbha in the initial three months, and till now, orders have been placed for 12 units.
Youth will be receiving loans under the PM’s Employment Generation Programme, wherein they will obtain a subsidy of about 35% in rural areas & 25% in urban areas.

Investment of Rs. 12 to Rs. 15 lakh will be needed to establish the cow dung paint manufacturing plant.
The funding for initiating this business will be covered under the government scheme concerning the MSME sector. About 11 people will be receiving employment in a plant. Khadi and Village Industries Commission is charging a royalty fee of Rs. 1 lakh for one-time in order to offer the technology and providing the facility to sell via PAN-India network of about 8600 retail khadi outlets.
