Three Municipal Corporations of Delhi are Aiming to set up 5,000 Wi-Fi Hotspots
- The three MCDs (Expanded as Municipal Corporations of Delhi) are endeavouring to establish 5,000 Wi-Fi hotspots at 272 wards under the roof of the Prime Minister Wi-Fi Access Network Interface scheme (Also known as PM-WANI Yojana).
- The corporation will proceed ahead for reimbursing the device cost, which costs around 3,000. In every ward, beneficiaries will be recognized, and they will purchase and set up Wi-Fi routers. In South MCD, the total number of beneficiaries in 104 wards will be 2,080.
- Municipal Corporation of Delhi will spend Rs. 4720 in installing a device under PM-WANI Yojana 2021.
