
The (MMPSY) Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana is the unique initiative of the Haryana government. The scheme gives one of the most extensive social security programs in the country. It has been designed under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana to secure the future of underprivileged people of the society. It is a step towards universal Social Security by ensuring Life and Accidental Insurance for all EWS (Economically Weaker Section of the society) of Haryana along with an assured Pension and Family Provident Fund for Farmers and too unorganized workers of Haryana.
The scheme will cover all EWS (Economically Weaker Section) families with an income of up to Rs. 1, 80,000 and with landholdings of up to 2 Hectares. Also, a small businessman having an annual turnover of up to Rs. 1.5 Crore each family will be covered under a scheme will be eligible for benefits of Rs 6000 per year. It will be utilized for payment of the beneficiary share of the centrally sponsored schemes for Pension and Insurance. The amount that is left unspent in the Family account will get invested into the Family Provident Fund. The account statement will be available online, along with details of the interest thereon.
Interested beneficiaries of Haryana state can apply under this scheme online by visiting the scheme’s official website. If one wants to apply offline, then they can apply through Antodaya centers, Saral centers, and nearby Atal Seva centers. Under this scheme, about 15 to 20 lakh families of the State will be benefitted, which is why social security can be ensured to the eligible families. Under this Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana 2021[1], the government will directly transfer the funds to the beneficiary’s bank account. The last date for filing an application under this scheme is 30 January 2021.
The following centrally sponsored schemes will get covered under the initiative:
Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana – Under the Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana, a beneficiary family will receive Rs 500 per month, out of that a rate of Rs 330 p.a. for life insurance for at least one member of the family. The eligible age group will be between 18 to 50 years under PMJJBY. The premium will be paid from their accounts themselves.
Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana – Under the scheme, at least one family member will be paying Rs 12 on accident insurance. Under the scheme, in case the insured dies, then an amount of Rs 2 lakh will be provided to him.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana – Under the scheme, a monthly pension of Rs 3000 will be given by the government after the completion of 60 years of age. The amount will be provided directly to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana – Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 3000 will be provided as the pension to beneficiaries after attaining the age of 60 years. Rs 55 to 200 per month premium will be automatically paid from the bank account of eligible beneficiaries. A monthly pension will be provided to the beneficiaries only after paying the premium every month.
The Haryana government has recently transferred 2 installments through DBT service to the eligible families registered under the MBPSY scheme. The third installment is expected to be distributed in March 2021. It is to provide financial benefits & social security to all individuals and families covered under this mentioned scheme.
